LOCATION: 3000 block of Coyote Road, Phelan
SUSPECT: Josh Reiff, 44-years-old, Resident of Hesperia
VICTIM: Confidential, Adult Female
SUMMARY: On Friday, December 12, 2025, at approximately 2:49 p.m., deputies responded to a report of fraud in the 3000 block of Coyote Road in Phelan.
The victim reported she was contacted by an individual offering solar panel installation for her residence. A male identifying himself as Josh Reiff met with the victim to discuss financing options. During the process, the suspect requested multiple payments to initiate the installation. After receiving approximately $2,100 from the victim, the suspect failed to install the solar panels and stopped responding to the victim’s calls.
Following an investigation, Josh Reiff was arrested on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in connection with this incident. He was transported and booked at the High Desert Detention Center.
