Borough offices will be closed on Friday (4/3) in observance of Good Friday. The collection schedule is as follows:
- Monday (3/30) - Business District, North Side & Triangle garbage collection
- Tuesday (3/31) - Business District, North side & Triangle recycling collection
- Wednesday (4/1) - Business District & South side garbage collection
- Thursday (4/2) - South side recycling collection
- Friday (4/3) - No Garbage/ No Recycling
We encourage all of our Highland Park residents to download the free "Recycle Coach" App to keep up to date with Recycling/Garbage updates.
Chometz Disposal: Chometz disposal drop-off service is offered the morning before Passover (Wednesday, April 1, 2026) between the hours of 6:30 am – 1:00 pm at the Department of Public Works building, 444 Valentine Street.
*Please follow our regular recycling rules and separate garbage and chometz from recycling items such as glass, plastic, paper and cardboard
**Please note: All Chometz should be dropped off by 1:00pm. Please do not leave items after this time, as there is no garbage storage at this location.
