Actions to Take
Residents seeking shelter are advised to bring their own food and basic necessities if at all possible. All locations are pet-friendly but pets must be secure on a leash or in a carrier. Owners must care for their pets and bring all supplies needed. Sites are staffed by small teams of workers to help keep the facilities safe and will have limited supplies on hand. The public is advised to bring what they will need to be comfortable with them.
The City is announcing shelter locations at this time as a precautionary measure in anticipation of impacts. There are no current evacuations in effect.
If residents are alerted during the severe weather that evacuation is necessary, do not wait. Take action immediately. If at any point during the storm residents begin to feel unsafe, they are encouraged to evacuate to a safer location even there have not been any evacuations ordered.
