San Leandro, CA – On February 13, 2026, around 10:20 PM, a food delivery driver was in the 14700 block of Pepperdine Street when he was accosted by 2 armed suspects.  The suspects robbed the victim of his cell phone at gunpoint, and one of them attempted to drive away in the victim’s vehicle.  The suspect was unable to put the victim’s vehicle into gear because the victim was still in possession of the car’s key fob.  Both suspects then fled the scene in their own car.
 
Utilizing public safety camera searches, detectives from the Crimes against Persons Unit were able to develop leads on the suspect vehicle.  This led to the identification of 18-year-old Angel Ureno-Vega of Hayward as one of the robbery suspects.  Ureno-Vega was located and arrested on February 24 at his workplace in San Leandro.  A subsequent search warrant executed on his car yielded a Glock handgun matching the description of one used during the crime.
   
A forensic analysis of Ureno-Vega’s cell phone led detectives to identify 19-year-old Alexis Cisneros-Robles of Hayward as the second suspect in the armed robbery.  On March 12, San Leandro Police detectives conducted a surveillance operation and took Cisneros-Robles’ into custody in Castro Valley.
