Deputies Arrest Three Males When Witness Observes Several People Unloading Boxes from Train

INCIDENT: PC496(A): POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY
LOCATION: 15 Freeway/Highway 138, Cajon
SUSPECT: Bladhir Acuta Gerson, age of 24, resident of Maywood Jesus Baez Vega, age of 28, resident of Hesperia
Fernando Osuna Sanchez, age of 20, resident of Riverside
VICTIM: BNSF Railway
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, March 12, 2026, at approximately 6:02 am, deputies responded to the area of the southbound Interstate 15 freeway just north of Hwy 138 regarding a report of several males seen unloading boxes from a train into a vehicle.
Deputies arrived on scene along with California Highway Patrol (CHP) and Sheriff’s Aviation. Upon arrival, deputies located several suspects hiding in bushes near the location. When deputies attempted to make contact, the suspects fled on foot, leading deputies on a pursuit onto the freeway and through a nearby drainage tunnel.
With the assistance of Sheriff’s Aviation, CHP, BNSF Railway Police, Union Pacific, and the Metrolink Division, three suspects were apprehended.
Bladhir Acuta Gerson, Jesus Baez Vega, and Fernando Osuna were arrested and transported to the High Desert Detention Center where they were booked for possession of stolen property.
