Sheriff Clint Roach reports that on March 13, 2026, at approximately 0826 hours, Deputies with the Cass County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of M-60 and M-40 in Newberg Township, Cass County, Michigan.

The investigation shows that Sabrina Leonard,(26 yrs old of Niles, MI) was eastbound on M-60 when she rear-ended a Semi Truck that was stopped at a stop sign. The semi truck being driven by William Spoering (61 yrs old of Petersburg, MI) that was stopped at the stop sign at M 60, was heading eastbound.  Leonard was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital by ambulance for injuries sustained in the crash.  Spoering was released from the scene. 

Assisting Agencies in this crash were Newberg EMS/Fire.  

This crash remains under investigation.
