Hesperia Sheriff's Station Issues Numerous Citations During Checkpoint Held on March 13th

Hesperia, CA — The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department – Hesperia Station conducted a DUI and driver’s license checkpoint on March 13, 2026, at the intersection of Main Street and Seventh Avenue, in Hesperia.
The checkpoint was conducted to enhance public safety by identifying impaired drivers and ensuring motorists are properly licensed.
During the checkpoint:
- 1,270 vehicles passed through the checkpoint
- 70 drivers were directed to the secondary inspection area
- 2 drivers were arrested for driving under the influence (DUI)
- 20 citations were issued
- 13 citations were for driving without a valid driver’s license
- 9 vehicles were towed
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is committed to keeping our communities safe through proactive enforcement and public awareness efforts. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead by designating a sober driver, using a rideshare service, or arranging alternative transportation if they plan to consume alcohol.
