On Friday, March 13, at approximately 9:26 p.m., Santa Maria Police officers were dispatched to the 400 block of West Taylor Street for a report of a residential burglary that had occurred earlier in the day.
Officers contacted the reporting party, Antonio Robles Rojas, who was calling on behalf of his tenant, Lender Javier Morales Martinez, who had already left for work. The investigation revealed that a suspect unlawfully entered a family member’s residence and stole currency from inside the home.
Through continued investigation, officers identified and located the suspect in Santa Maria. The 28-year-old Santa Maria resident was taken into custody and arrested for residential burglary.
The arrest highlights the Santa Maria Police Department’s continued commitment and dedication to investigating property crimes and holding offenders accountable.
