High Wind and Strong Severe Thunderstorm Emergency Warning for today, Starting around 2pm! Please pay attention to this threat!

Advisories, Watches and Warnings: There is a wind advisory for Northeastern and Southeastern Burlington and Ocean Counties; from 2PM this afternoon until 2AM tomorrow morning. 
 
Hazards:
  • Northern Burlington County has an enhanced chance of wind risk with a 30-45% chance of severe wind gust 58 mph or greater and an enhanced chance of a tornado.
  • Central and Southeastern Burlington County have a slight chance of wind risk with 15-30% chance of severe wind gust 58 mph or greater and a slight chance of a tornado.
Key Messages:
  • There is enhanced potential for strong to severe thunderstorms this afternoon into the evening ahead of a strong cold front.
  • Outside of storms, strong winds are likely.
  • Localized flash flooding will also be possible, especially inland.
  • Power outages and downed trees are expected.
  Today Showers and thunderstorms before 4pm. Some of the storms could be severe and produce heavy rainfall. High near 68. Breezy, with a south wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. 
Tonight Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 2am.  Some of the storms could be severe and produce heavy rainfall. Low around 32. Breezy, with a south wind 20 to 25 mph becoming west after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. 
Tuesday  Mostly sunny, with a high near 42. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
