Flood Warning until 02:00AM Thursday

...The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids MI has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Michigan... Grand River near Comstock Park affecting Kent County. Muskegon River at Newaygo affecting Newaygo County. .Another round of heavy rain fell across much of West-Central Lower Michigan. Rain totals of 1.0 - 1.5 inches occurred in parts of the Grand and Maple River basins, while 1.5 - 2.0 fell across the Muskegon River basin. As this water moves through the river systems, minor flooding is expected over the coming days.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Muskegon River at Newaygo.

* WHEN...From late tonight to early Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, The river starts exceeding its banks and minor flooding begins in low lying areas along the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 AM EDT Monday the stage was 10.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just after midnight tonight to a crest of 11.1 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday evening. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.1 feet on 12/30/1984. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
