The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) would like to inform the community of the following operational changes due to forecasted severe weather for Monday, March 16, 2026:
- All programs, activities, and permits scheduled after 2:00 PM are canceled.
- All DPR grass fields are closed due to rainfall and ongoing wet conditions.
- DPR recreation and aquatic centers remain open on normal operating hours as safe indoor spaces, though all programs are canceled.
- The following DPR aquatics facilities that are co-located with DC Public Schools closed at 2:00 PM: Ballou, Dunbar, and Roosevelt Aquatic Centers.
