On Thursday, March 19th the MVP arena will be hosting representatives from SEIU for a rally inside the arena. The attendees will be arriving on approximately 150-200 buses. Traffic will be congested around the following roadways.
Thursday, March 19th between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Impacts with road closures and parking restrictions will be in the following areas:
-Madison Avenue between South Swan Street and Eagle Street
-South Pearl Street between State Street and Madison Avenue
-Market Street between South Pearl Street and the MVP Arena
-Hudson Avenue between Broadway and South Pearl Street
-Broadway between Madison Avenue and State Street
-State Street between Eagle Street and Broadway
Buses will be parked at the following locations:
-Lincoln Park between Eagle Street and MLK Boulevard
-NYSOGS Parking Lot on Grand Street near MVP Arena
-NYSOGS McCarty Avenue Lot
Drop off times are anticipated to begin around 9:00 a.m. and pick up times are anticipated around 1:30 p.m.
Drop off and pick up locations for buses with full road closures:
-NYSOGS Grand Street Lot
-South Pearl Street between MArket Street and State Street
-Dallius Street between Hudson Avenue and Madison Avenue
-Market Street between South Pearl Street and MVP Arena garage
There will be a large volume of pedestrians downtown for this event.
Please seek alternate routes during drop off and pick up times.
CDTA will have some interruptions, please check CDTA website for any changes to the bus schedule or routes on Thursday, March 19th.
