Over the next few weeks, our Water Utility Division will be conducting routine valve exercising throughout the Township. This important maintenance work helps ensure that our water system operates reliably, especially during emergencies.
What to expect:
- Crews will be working in neighborhoods during daytime hours.
- You may notice brief periods of discolored water or temporary pressure changes; this is normal and should clear up quickly.
- If discoloration occurs, simply run your cold water tap for a few minutes until it clears.
Why we do this:
Regular valve exercising keeps our system in good working order, improves water flow, and ensures valves can be operated when needed for repairs or fire protection.
