Wilmington Police have arrested a wanted man in connection to a robbery incident.
On March 15th at approximately 12:08 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 800 block of Kirkwood Street in reference to a robbery and assault that occurred. Officers conducted an area canvass and located a subject matching the description in the 700 block of East 10th Street. Officers attempted to make contact with the male subject, at which time he fled the area on foot. A short time later, officers took 37-year-old Stefine Brown into custody without further incident. Officers confirmed Brown was currently wanted for an outstanding warrant out of the Wilmington Police Department.
Brown has been charged with the following offenses in addition to his outstanding warrant:
- Robbery (First Degree)
- Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $7,600 secured bail.
