Sheriff Clint Roach reports that on 03/17/2026 at approximately 0720 A.m. , deputies of the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle crash in the area of Union Rd and Mt Zion St., Calvin Township, Cass County Michigan.
The investigation showed that a vehicle driven by James Huffman (49 years old from Vandalia, MI) was northbound on Union Rd when he lost control on the snowy road, causing his vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a tree. James Huffman was transported by SMCAS Ambulance to Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the traffic crash.
