INCIDENT: Death Investigation
LOCATION: 13000 Block of Napa Street, Fontana
DECEDENT: Justin Jeffrey Gill, a 51-year-old presumed Transient
SUMMARY: On Monday, March 16, 2026, at approximately 4:22 p.m., Fontana deputies responded to the West Valley Material Recovery Facility in the 13000 block of Napa Street regarding a medical aid call. Upon arrival, deputies and San Bernardino County Fire Department personnel located a deceased adult male on a recycling conveyor belt.
The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail responded and assumed the investigation. The decedent was identified as Justin Gill. A preliminary investigation revealed Gill’s body was discovered beneath other refuse on the conveyor belt, with no immediate signs of foul play or homicide. The official cause and manner of death will be determined pending the results of an autopsy.
