Simi Valley Police Arrest Suspect Following Domestic Assault
Simi Valley, CA – On March 17, 2026, at approximately 1:00 a.m., a domestic dispute occurred at a residence in Simi Valley involving a 31-year-old female resident and her boyfriend, Gerald Doe III, a 32-year-old resident of Santa Clarita.
During the verbal altercation, the suspect allegedly threatened to slit the victim’s throat and produced a knife, attempting to stab her in the neck. The victim was able to block the attack, sustaining a laceration to her hand in the process. The injury caused significant bleeding, prompting both parties to temporarily cease the confrontation.
The victim was initially unable to leave the residence due to fear but, later in the morning, was able to contact a family member who transported her to a local hospital for treatment.
While en route to the hospital, the Simi Valley Police Department was notified. Officers responded to the 1800 block of Yosemite Avenue and took the suspect into custody without incident. Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) also responded to process the residence.
Gerald Doe III was arrested and faces multiple charges, including:
- Attempted murder (664/187 PC)
- Domestic violence (273.5 PC)
- Criminal threats (422 PC)
- Parole violation (3056 PC)
