Activity for March 17, 2026:
- Officers responded to the Jackson Crossing Mall for a subject shoplifting. The stolen merchandise was returned to the store. Retail fraud charges will be sought on a 42-year-old male.
- Officer Goings conducted a traffic stop near Wesley Street and Blackstone Street. Both occupants fled on foot, but were located by officers. A 42-year-old male and a 54-year-old female received citations for resisting and obstructing, and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.
- Officer Beekel was dispatched to a domestic dispute in the 1100 block of Blair Park Drive. A 15-year-old male was lodged at JCYC for felonious assault.
- Officers visited multiple schools during the day.
- Officer Panther conducted a traffic stop at West Mason Street and South Blackstone Street. The 19-year-old female driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated (zero tolerance) and multiple outstanding warrants.
- Officer Tripp responded to the 100 block of East Cortland Street for disorderly subjects. A 27-year-old female received a citation for disorderly conduct.
- Officers were dispatched to East Ganson Street and North Horton Street for a single vehicle crash. The driver fled on foot prior to officers’ arrival. The investigation is ongoing.
