Wilmington Police have arrested a wanted man on gun and drug charges following an investigation.
On March 16th at approximately 6:48 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division conducted an investigation in the 200 block of Delamore Place in reference to 45-year-old Kareem Bell who was currently wanted for an outstanding warrant out of the Wilmington Police Department. Officers executed a search warrant in the 200 block of Delamore Place and took Bell into custody without incident. Officers recovered one sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun, 91 12-gauge shotgun rounds, 10 .38 spl rounds, 1 .9mm round, 8.2 grams of crack cocaine, and one box cutter.
Bell has been charged with the following offenses in addition to his outstanding warrant:
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of Felony
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited- Four Counts
- Possession of a Controlled Substance- Tier 1
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $79,000 cash-only bail.
