Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., announces that the following streets will be closed during the hours below due to the City of Newark’s Drive Up and Go Food Distribution event:
Beginning from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Wednesday, March 25, 2026
• Irvine Turner Boulevard between Avon Avenue and West Alpine Street
• Madison Avenue between Ridgewood Avenue and Clinton Avenue
The food drive begins at 10 a.m. and will be held at Irvine Turner Boulevard and Madison Avenue.
Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and plan alternate routes.
Director Miranda thanks you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this event. He also urges anyone with information regarding criminal activities to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
