Actions to Take
If possible, bring a Go Bag with essential supplies including medications.
If you are in the area and can evacuate safely, evacuate to higher ground now. If water is rising in your home, move to a higher floor. If you are trapped, go to the highest level. Stay out of attics without a way onto the roof. Call 911 only for life-threatening emergencies. Avoid moving water. Rushing water can sweep you away.
Shelters are pet friendly but pets must be in a carrier or leash. Bring pet food and other essential supplies to care for your pet if you can.
