Three Vehicle Collision in Apple Valley Sends All Drivers to the Hospital; Investigation is Ongoing

DATE/TIME: March 19, 2026

INCIDENT: Three Vehicle Collision

LOCATION:  Central Road / Ramona Avenue, Apple Valley, CA

SUSPECT: Bryan Snyder, 34-year-old male, Apple Valley

SUMMARY:
On March 19, 2026, at approximately 3:19 p.m., deputies from the Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station, along with personnel from American Medical Response and the Apple Valley Fire Protection District, responded to a three-vehicle traffic collision at the intersection of Ramona Avenue and Central Road in the Town of Apple Valley.

A white Kia K5 sedan, was traveling eastbound on Ramona Avenue at a high rate of speed and approached the intersection at Central Road. The driver of the Kia failed to stop at the posted stop sign and entered the intersection, where it was struck on the driver’s side by a Jeep Wrangler traveling southbound on Central Road. The impact caused the Kia to split into two sections. The Kia continued eastbound and collided with an occupied parked Kia sedan, pushing it east. The driver of the Kia K5 was ejected from the vehicle. All involved drivers were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

Prior to and unrelated to the traffic collision, the driver of the Kia K5, Bryan Snyder, had evaded deputies who were attempting to conduct a traffic stop.

Investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Regional Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) are conducting the investigation. The intersection of Central Road and Ramona Avenue was closed for approximately eight hours while investigators processed the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
