Gloucester Township Police Traffic Advisory- Evesham Road Roadway Improvements Spring/ Summer 2026
Camden County Public Works has announced they will start the long-term Evesham Road Improvement Project on Monday, March 23, 2026. The project will be done in phases between West Clements Bridge Road to Schubert Avenue in Gloucester Township and Borough of Runnemede with a final completion in 180 calendar days.
During the initial phase, Evesham Road will be one-way from the Black Horse Pike (BHP) toward Deptford (Clements Bridge Road/Station Avenue Point). Traffic coming from Deptford will be detoured onto Clements Bridge Road and Station Avenue. Temporary detours, signage, and Police Officers will be in place daily for traffic control and public awareness.
Project Highlights:
- Roadway reconstruction and resurfacing between West Clements Bridge Road (NJ-41) to Schubert Avenue (CR-736)
- Installation of new concrete curb, sidewalk, and driveway aprons
- Installation of ADA-accessible curb ramps at all intersections
- Installation of modular block retaining walls
- Improvements and repairs to existing storm sewer and sanitary sewer systems
- Traffic striping, regulatory signage, and raised pavement markers
