Winter Weather Advisory until 04:00AM Monday

...PERIODS OF SNOW FOR PARTS OF THE PANHANDLE THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT... .Periods of snow are still occurring in parts of the panhandle Saturday afternoon. Snow accumulations at sea level have been rather low from Icy Strait and Juneau southward due to temperatures at sea level already reaching the mid to upper 30s. Temperatures are expected to start cooling again tonight into Sunday with bands of snow moving into the southern panhandle Sunday into Sunday night. Accumulations in the south may mainly be on the higher elevations of Prince of Wales Island midday Sunday, but will have more accumulations expected at sea level by Sunday evening and night as temperatures cool Sunday evening.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches.

* WHERE...Ketchikan Gateway Borough and Annette Island.

* WHEN...From 4 PM Sunday to 4 AM AKDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.

* AFFECTED AREAS: KETCHIKAN GATEWAY BOROUGH ... ANNETTE ISLAND
