The North Hudson Sewerage Authority is continuing construction next week with multiple crews working throughout northwest Hoboken on storm sewer improvements which will temporarily close certain streets and limit street parking.
Crews will continue the installation of piles, pile caps, pipe cradles, storm sewer pipes, manholes, and inlets with active construction occurring along Clinton Street between 15th and 16th Streets, 16th Street between Clinton and Willow Streets, and 13th Street between Adams and Clinton Streets. Restoration crews will also be working on sidewalks and curbs along portions of 14th, 15th, and 16th Streets, including at the intersections of Adams and Jefferson Streets.
Due to this work, the following traffic changes and road closures will be in effect:
- Clinton Street between 15th and 16th Streets and 14th Street between Grand and Clinton Streets will be closed 24/7 with limited access provided only to local residents and essential services.
- Grand Street between 12th and 14th Streets will be closed to through traffic from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., though local access will be maintained, and a temporary two-way traffic pattern will be in place between 13th and 14th Streets to allow residents to reach garages.
- 16th Street between Clinton Street and Willow Avenue will be closed from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. with detours in place for westbound traffic.
- 13th Street between Adams, Grand, and Clinton Streets will be closed to through traffic during daytime hours, though local access to residences and parking garages will be maintained.
- 13th Street between Clinton Street and Willow Avenue will remain open, with a temporary two-way traffic pattern in place to support circulation.
Temporary parking restrictions will also be in place with no parking permitted on both sides of 13th Street between Adams Street and Willow Avenue, both sides of 16th Street between Clinton Street and Willow Avenue, portions of both sides of Grand Street near 13th Street, and Clinton Street between 15th and 16th Streets. Residents are encouraged to follow posted signage. Drivers should expect delays, follow posted detour signs, and use caution when driving in the area.
