The prescribed pile burn originally scheduled for March 10, 2026, has been rescheduled and will take place tomorrow morning, March 24, 2026, in the Shields Canyon / Briggs Terrace area.
Crews will be conducting a briefing at approximately 8:30 AM, with the burn operation scheduled to begin around 9:00 AM and continue through the early afternoon hours.
This is a planned and controlled burn conducted under specific conditions to reduce vegetation and lower wildfire risk in the area.
Residents may see smoke and fire personnel in the vicinity. We ask that community members avoid the immediate area during operations and follow any directions provided by personnel on scene.
