Needles Police Department Releases Arrests Made During March 16 through March 22, 2026
Between March 16, 2026, and March 22, 2026, deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police conducted multiple investigations that led to the arrest of the following individuals throughout the jurisdiction of the Colorado River Sheriff’s Station:
ISABELLE HENSON, 25 Years Old, Resident of Needles, CA
On Monday, March 16, 2026, at approximately 4:19 p.m., deputies contacted ISABELLE HENSON during a call for service reference a disturbance near the 1500 block of Lillyhill Drive. During the investigation, HENSON was found to be in violation of PC417(A)(1)-Brandishing a Deadly Weapon (Not a Firearm). HENSON was subsequently arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. HENSON was later issued a citation and released from the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department with a future court date.
JUSTIN GAGNER, 29 Years Old, Resident of Needles, CA
On Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at approximately 9:00 a.m., deputies contacted JUSTIN GAGNER during a warrant service near the 200 block of G Street. During the service, GAGNER was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest for PC647(F)-Disorderly Conduct-Public Intoxication and PC71(A)-Threatening an Officer. GAGNER was subsequently arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. GAGNER was later issued a citation and released from the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department with a future court date.
DYLON ALLRED, 26 Years Old, Resident of Needles, CA
On Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at approximately 7:00 p.m., deputies contacted DYLON ALLRED during a pedestrian check near the 1200 block of Riverview Lane. During the stop, ALLRED was found to be in violation of PC487(A)-Grand Theft of Property. ALLRED was subsequently arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. ALLRED remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department with a bail amount of $38,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
SHAWN GATES, 34 Years Old, Resident of Mohave Valley, AZ
On Friday, March 20, 2026, at approximately 10:45 a.m., deputies contacted SHAWN GATES during a flag down near Duke Watkins Park. During the investigation, SHAWN GATES was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest for H&S11377(A)-Possession of a Controlled Substance. GATES was subsequently arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. GATES was later issued a citation and released from the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department with a future court date.
EMILY ERIKSON, 18 Years Old, Resident of Needles, AZ
On Friday, March 20, 2026, at approximately 12:05 p.m., deputies contacted EMILY ERIKSON during a call for service near the 1600 block of Washington Street reference an assault. During the investigation, ERIKSON was found be in violation of PC242(A)- Battery on a Person. ERICKSON was subsequently arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. ERICKSON was later issued a citation and released from the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department with a future court date.
JEREMY MAGGARD, 37 Years Old, Resident of Fort Mohave, AZ
On Friday, March 20, 2026, at approximately 7:31 p.m., deputies contacted JEREMY MAGGARD during an assist other department call for service reference a subject trespassing near Aha Macav Pkwy and Needles Hwy. During the investigation, MAGGARD was found to be in violation of PC374(B)-Illegal Dumping. MAGGARD was subsequently arrested, issued a citation, and released at the scene with a future court date.
ROBIN VALDEPENA, 43 Years Old, Resident of Lucerne Valley, CA
On Friday, March 20, 2026, at approximately 7:37 p.m., deputies contacted ROBIN VALDEPENA during a traffic enforcement stop near Chestnut Street and M Street. During the stop, VALDEPENA was found to be in violation of H&S11377(A)-Possession of a controlled Substance. VALDEPENA was subsequently arrested, issued a citation and released at the scene with a future court date.
BENNETT GRIEP, 63 Years Old, Resident of Newberry Springs, CA
On Friday, March 20, 2026, at approximately 11:20 p.m., deputies contacted BENNETT GRIEP during a traffic enforcement stop near W Needles Hwy and R Street. During the stop, GRIEP was found to be in violation of H&S11395-Possession of a Controlled Substance with 2+priors. GRIEP was subsequently arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. GRIEP was later issued a citation and released from the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department with a future court date.
NATHAN MARTINEZ, 33 Years Old, Resident of Riverside, CA
On Saturday, March 21, 2026, at approximately 1:49 a.m., deputies contacted NATHAN MARTINEZ during a traffic enforcement stop near Five Mile Rd and the I40. During the contact, MARTINEZ was found to be in violation of PC664/187-Attempted Murder. MARTINEZ was subsequently arrested and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. MARTINEZ was cleared for booking and was transported to the High Desert Detention Center for booking. MARTINEZ remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department on $1000000.00 bail, awaiting a court hearing.
ALBERTO HERMIDA, 38 Years Old, Resident of Needles, CA
On Sunday, March 22, 2026, at approximately 8:05 a.m., deputies contacted ALBERTO HERMIDA during a call for service reference a man making threats near W Broadway St and Market St. During the contact, HERMIDA was found to be in violation of PC422-Criminal Threats and H&S11378-Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale. HERMIDA was subsequently arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. HERMIDA remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department on $50,000.00 bail, awaiting a court hearing.
ISABELLE HENSON, 25 Years Old, Resident of Needles, CA
On Sunday, March 22, 2026, at approximately 10:45 a.m., deputies contacted ISABELLE HENSON during a call for service reference a vandalism near the 1500 block of Lillyhill Dr. During the contact, HENSON was found to be in violation of PC594(B)(1)-Vandalism over $400.00. HENSON was subsequently arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. HENSON remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department on $30,000.00 bail, awaiting a court hearing.
The necessity to cite release arrestees is a result of several law changes and voter approved propositions over the last few years. In 2011, Assembly Bill 109 was passed by the legislature. This bill sent thousands of state prisoners to local jails, resulting in county jail overcrowding. Because of lawsuits capping the county jail population, it became necessary to release county jail inmates that were once held in custody. In 2014, the California voters passed Proposition 47, referred to as the Safe Neighborhoods and Schools Act. This proposition reduced many crimes to misdemeanors such as Grand Theft, Receiving Stolen Property, Shoplifting, Forgery, Burglary, and Drug Possession. With a court mandated cap on the county jail inmate population, it is now necessary to cite release certain arrestees to adhere to the inmate population mandates.
