This morning a sanitary sewer pipe break was found on the beach near the Shrewsbury River Yacht Club. The Two Rivers Water Reclamation Authority has implemented its emergency response plan. Action is being taken to repair the pipe, minimize the sewage spill and maintain service.
As a result of the pipe break, sanitary sewage has entered river. Please avoid contact with the river in this area.
The Two Rivers Water Reclamation Authority has notified NJDEP
