Full Notification

There will be two separate projects on 135 over the next couple of weeks:

1. MD 135 in Luke from Grant Street to Garrett County Line
   1. SHA project for slope protection 
   2. Dates: Signal to be installed 3/30/2026 in place throughout the summer
   3. MOT: Signal controlled with alternating traffic utilizing one open lane
   4. Vehicle passage will be maintained throughout the project with temporary signals
2. MD 135 in Westernport from BP Gas Station to ½ mile east 
   1. Emergency project through Maryland Environmental Service to remove large loose rocks
   2. Dates:
      1. Complete Closure: 3/31/2026 through 4/5/2026 — At this time they will be removing large rocks and have a crane setup across most of the road. While emergency access may be possible at some points it will not throughout the entirety of the closure. 
      2. Temporary Signal: Beginning 4/6 and going throughout the spring into the summer — Vehicles passage will be maintained by alternating traffic on the open lane.
