Activity for March 24, 2026:
- Officer Bean was dispatched to a domestic dispute in the 600 block of South Mechanic Street. A 39-year-old male was arrested for violating a personal protection order.
- Officer Fitzpatrick visited with students at Queens Elementary.
- Officer Brooker witnessed an assault near West Michigan Avenue and Hayes Court. A 30-year-old male was arrested for simple assault, and resisting and obstructing.
- Officers responded to the 300 block of Steward Avenue for a stolen vehicle in the area. A 61-year-old male was arrested for receiving and concealing a motor vehicle, and an outstanding felony warrant.
- Sergeant Thoresen conducted a traffic stop near North Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and East Ganson Street. A 41-year-old female was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
- Officer Simon conducted a traffic stop at Ridgeway Street and South Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. The 51-year-old male driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license, and driving while intoxicated – 3rd offense.
- Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of East South Street for a personal welfare check. Charges will be sought on a 27-year-old female for possession of narcotics and child neglect.
- Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 500 block of Wildwood Avenue. The 31-year-old male suspect fled prior to officers’ arrival, and has not been located.
