Sheriff’s Office seeks public assistance to confirm welfare of St. Helena Island woman
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in confirming the wellbeing of Renesha Loraine Hendrix, 34, of St. Helena Island.
Hendrix was reported missing by family members on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Since that time, there have been reports from members of the public, as well as Sheriff’s Office deputies, of a woman believed to be Hendrix walking along Sea Island Parkway. Despite these sightings, deputies have not yet been able to make contact with her.
Hendrix is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds.
The Sheriff’s Office remains committed to the safety and wellbeing of all residents and appreciates the community’s assistance in helping locate Hendrix and ensure she is safe.
