Press Release: Shooting Incident Under Investigation

On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at approximately 9:15 a.m., the Redwood City Police Department received a report of a gunshot victim located near the intersection of McGarvey Avenue and Farm Hill Boulevard. Officers and emergency medical personnel were immediately dispatched.
 
Within minutes, while first responders were still en route, a second call was received reporting another individual suffering from gunshot wounds in the 3000 block of Hastings Avenue. Based on this information, all available Redwood City Police units responded to both locations.
 
Upon arrival, officers quickly determined that both victims were involved in a single incident that occurred inside a residence in the 3000 block of Hastings Avenue. Officers conducted a thorough search of the residence to ensure no additional victims or involved parties were present; no other individuals were located.
 
Both victims were transported to local hospitals with critical injuries. At this time, both individuals are expected to survive.
 
Detectives have responded and are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident. Preliminary information indicates this was an isolated incident involving individuals known to one another. There is no ongoing threat to the public.
