The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity,which is in effect from noon to 8 PM CDT Friday. A Fire Weather Watch has also been issued. This Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity is in effect from Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening. * TIMING...For the Red Flag Warning, from noon to 8 PM CDT Friday. For the Fire Weather Watch, from Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. * WIND... Northerly sustained winds of 15 to 20 mph with gusts around 25 mph on Friday. Southerly sustained winds of 15 to 20 mph with gusts around 25 mph on Saturday. * HUMIDITY... Lowest afternoon and evening humidity of 15 to 25 percent Friday and Saturday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures cancontribute to extreme fire behavior. A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings.
