Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., announces that the following streets will be closed during the hours below due to the City of Newark’s Drive Up and Go Food Distribution event:
Beginning from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Wednesday, April 1, 2026
• Clinton Place between Williamson Avenue and Chancellor Avenue
• Keer Avenue between Aldine Street and Maple Avenue
• Grumman Avenue between Maple Avenue and Clinton Place
• Hansbury Avenue between Maple Avenue and Aldine Street
The food drive begins at 10 a.m. and will be held at Keer Avenue and Clinton Place.
Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and plan alternate routes.
Director Miranda thanks you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this event. He also urges anyone with information regarding criminal activities to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
