The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office has received reports of two female individuals going door-to-door, posing as cleaning product service providers and offering free sample cleanings in exchange for business reviews. The individuals are reportedly accompanied by a separate subject who remains outside in a box van.
At this time, no criminal activity has been reported. However, we encourage residents to use caution and not open the door to unknown individuals offering unsolicited services.
Criminals will often pose as solicitors and use pressure tactics to gain access to your home.
