On March 24, 2026 at about 7:30 PM, plain clothed Officers with the Rohnert Park DPS Gang Officer Program were conducting a proactive enforcement operation. They observed a male adult gathering signatures for a petition in front of Walmart. Officers then observed him walk behind a nearby business and start smoking suspected methamphetamine. The subject was contacted and detained.
Officers conducted their investigation, including a search of the suspect and his property. This led Officers to locate approximately 350 suspected counterfeit Oxycodone pills believed to be fentanyl, methamphetamine, and a methamphetamine pipe.
It was later determined that the suspect gave Officers a false name to conceal his true identity because he had a no-bail felony warrant out of Bakersfield for drug sales.
Ultimately, Christopher J. Hernandez (36) was arrested and booked at the Sonoma County Jail for the following charges and his outstanding warrant:
11351 HS- Felony Poss. Narcotic with Intent to Sell
11377(a) HS- Misdemeanor Poss. Methamphetamine
11364(a) HS- Misdemeanor Poss. Drug Paraphernalia
11395(b)(1) HS- Felony Enhancement for Two Prior Drug Related Convictions
485 PC- Misdemeanor Misappropriation of Lost Property
148.9(a) PC- Misdemeanor Providing a False Name to Law Enforcement
