This is a message from Clay County Emergency Services. Due to the increased wildfire danger, the North Carolina Forest Service has issued a statewide burn ban. In addition, the Clay County Fire Marshal has issued a burn ban within 100 feet of any structure in Clay County until further notice. Very dry and windy conditions, with low humidity, will continue for the next several days.
