Arrests Made on Child Abuse Investigation

The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety (RPDPS) has arrested an adult male in connection with an investigation involving allegations of inappropriate contact with a minor under the age of 14 that occurred years prior.

Through these investigative efforts, detectives identified information they believe corroborates the victim’s account. Detectives also received statements that were obtained during the course of the investigation from the suspect that are consistent with the allegations.

Foster was taken into custody without incident and subsequently booked into the Sonoma County Jail on the following charges:

• California Penal Code § 288(b) – Lewd or Lascivious Acts Upon a Child by Use of Force
• California Penal Code § 288(c)(1) – Lewd or Lascivious Acts Upon a Child Who is 14 or 15 Years Old
• California Penal Code § 220(a)(2) – Assault on a Person Under the Age of 18 with Intent to Commit
• California Penal Code § 311.11(a)(1) – Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material
• California Penal Code § 311.1(a) – Distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material
• California Penal Code § 311.2(a) – Production of Child Sexual Abuse Material

The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety is continuing to investigate the possibility of additional victims related to this case.

Due to the sensitive nature of this case, and in order to protect the identity and privacy of the victim, no additional details will be released at this time.

Corey Foster is being held in Sonoma County Jail with no bail at this time.
