3/25 – 8:54 p.m. – Police stopped a vehicle in the 1200 block of South Jefferson Street and took a male driver into custody under suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol. The subject had previous DUI charges, and his driver's license was revoked for DUI. Bryon K. Eugea, 58 of New Athens, was charged by the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office with the following:
Count 1: Aggravated Driving Under the Influence – Alcohol (3rd Subsequent DUI)
Count 2: Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol while License Revoked for DUI. Incident occurred in the 1200 block of South Jefferson Street.
