On October 3rd, 2025, 7:45 p.m., a male subject was taken into custody during a traffic stop for possession of methamphetamine and other offenses, at Washington Street & Jefferson Street. The suspected controlled substance was submitted to the Illinois State Police Crime Lab for analysis. Upon receiving the results, the case was forwarded to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for review. On November 3rd, the state’s attorney’s office charged the defendant, Bradley R. Calvin age 38 of Madison, with the following:
Count 1: Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine 15 < 100 Grams; a Class 1 Criminal Felony
Count 2: Unlawful Use of Weapons (a metal knuckle weapon with built-in switchblade knife); a Class A Criminal Misdemeanor
Count 3: Operation Uninsured Motor Vehicle; a Class P Traffic Offense
Count 4: Operation of Motor Vehicle when Registration Suspended; a Class U Traffic Offense
Last week, Calvin was apprehended on the warrants by the Illinois State Police.
