Wilmington Police have arrested a man on gun and drug charges following an investigation.

Members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division along with the New Castle County Division of Police Drug and Human Trafficking Investigations Team have been conducting a joint investigation into 40-year-old Robert Truitt in reference to illegal drug sales in the 800 block of North Monroe Street.

On March 27^th at approximately 2:12 p.m., officers located Truitt in the 800 block of North Monroe Street and took him into custody without incident. Officers recovered a loaded .9mm handgun, 0.54 grams of heroin, 0.36 grams of crack cocaine, and 26 Suboxone strips. Subsequently, officers executed a search warrant in the 800 block of North Monroe Street and recovered a loaded .32 caliber revolver.

Truitt has been charged with the following offenses:

• Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
• Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited- Four Counts
• Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver- Two Counts
• Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
• Possession of a Controlled Substance
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
