The Cities of Norton and Barberton would like to inform residents that, due to ongoing system upgrades in our joint dispatch center, there may be impromptu tornado siren tests conducted throughout this week. These tests are part of our efforts to ensure all systems are functioning properly.  Prior to any testing, we will notify the public via all means available to ensure everyone is aware that the activation is not an actual emergency weather event. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our emergency response systems.

As a reminder, regularly scheduled spring tornado siren testing will resume as usual starting on Saturdays at 12:00 PM the first week of April. In severe weather, always have cell phones charged, and a radio or tv as another source for emergency communication and notification.
