LOCATION: 12000 block of Jason Lane, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): James Real, 21-year-old, Resident of Victorville
Maria Real, 49-year-old, Resident of Victorville
VICTIM(S): Male Adult
SUMMARY: On Friday, March 27, 2026, at approximately 9:59 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to the 12000 block of Jason Lane for a report of a subject who had discharged a firearm.
Deputies arrived and conducted an investigation, which revealed the report of a shooting was unfounded. The incident stemmed from an argument involving multiple subjects.
It was determined James Real produced a firearm and pointed it at the victim. Other individuals at the scene intervened and separated James from the victim. During the altercation, suspect Maria Real threw a planter vase at the victim, causing a laceration to the victim’s face.
James fled the scene prior to deputies’ arrival but was located a short time later and taken into custody without incident. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
James Real was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto for, P.C. 245(a)(4) – Assault likely to cause great bodily injury.
