LOCATION: Bear Valley Road / Dunia Road, Victorville
VICTIM: 35-year-old Male Transient of Hesperia
SUMMARY: On Monday, March 30, 2026, at approximately 7:35 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to the area of Bear Valley Road and Dunia Road for multiple reports of a male subject engulfed in flames.
Upon arrival, deputies located the male subject suffering from severe burns and was airlifted to a hospital for treatment. Deputies located items consistent with combustible materials and a preliminary determination suggest the fire was accidental. Investigators from the Department’s Arson/Bomb Detail responded to assist with the investigation. A San Bernardino County Arson Investigator conducted a parallel investigation.
The investigation remains ongoing. No further information is available for release at this time.
