Middle Township Police Arrest Man in Connection with Whitesboro Stabbing Incident

Middle Township, NJ – On March 31, 2026, at approximately 11:57 p.m., officers from the Middle Township Police Department were dispatched to the 300 block of Reeves Street in Whitesboro, New Jersey, in response to a reported stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers located a 43-year-old male from Whitesboro, New Jersey, who had sustained injuries to his neck and shoulder as the result of an apparent knife assault. Officers rendered immediate aid until emergency medical personnel arrived. The victim was subsequently transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, in Atlantic City for treatment.

An investigation conducted by the Middle Township Police Department, Major Crimes Unit, revealed that the victim and accused, identified as Andrew Enman, 38, of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, got into a verbal argument that became physical when Enman pulled a knife, and stabbed the victim.  Enman then left the scene prior to police arrival.

During the investigation Middle Township Police Patrol Division located Enman and took him into custody without incident.

As a result of the investigation, Enman has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Criminal Attempt (Murder) – 2C:5-1a(1), 1st Degree Crime

  • Certain Persons Not to Possess Weapons – 2C:39-7a, 4th Degree Crime
Enmam was processed and lodged at the Cape May County Correctional Facility pending court proceedings.

The investigation further determined that the victim and Enman were known to one another, and that the incident was not random in nature. At this time, there is no ongoing threat to the public.

It is advised that a person convicted of a first-degree crime is subject to a term of imprisonment ranging from 10 to 20 years in New Jersey State Prison.
