SWSCOM and The City of Barberton will be conducting a test of the tornado siren this afternoon.
A reminder a “test” signal will last approx. 15 – 30 seconds. A true emergency signal will last at least 3 minutes. The five siren locations, throughout the city will be individually checked. These locations are:
- The city building downtown
- Fairland and Eastern Road
- Burt St/North Way
- Shannon/Hillsdale
- Austin Drive/5th
Weekly testing will begin this Saturday at noon.
We would like to remind everyone to always have your cell phones charged, and a radio or television as another source for emergency communication and notification.
