A Passover Message from Mayor Tom Giordano
My Dear Neighbors & Friends:
Passover is the celebration of redemption from slavery and freedom from oppression, a struggle that requires faith, courage, and determination.
It is the feast of freedom, which provides a splendid opportunity to remember from whence we came, what lies ahead, and before whom we must give an account.
It is a time for families to gather with their loved ones to reflect on history, traditions and the special people who bless our lives. They will read from the Haggadah and retell the story of liberation. Learning from the past is a powerful way to plan for a brighter tomorrow.
In the spirit of Passover, we should resolve to fulfill our commitments to ourselves, our communities, and to ensure that we are championing the needs of the most vulnerable among us.
May this Passover bring you new energy, inspiration, and joy. May your cup overflow with prosperity and your celebration be filled with importance, love, and joy.
On behalf of my family, your council members, their families, and myself, Happy Passover, may you delight in its traditions, and your home be filled with love.
