Arizona Arrest Tied to Big River Arson, Stolen Firearms Recovered

SUSPECT(S): Jeremiah Simmons, 44-years-old, Resident of Big River, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Friday, February 28, 2025, at approximately 11:10 a.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department responded to a report of a structure fire near the 5000 block of Naches Court in Big River. During the initial investigation, it was determined the fire was intentionally set and was classified as an arson. Deputies also discovered that a large safe containing multiple firearms and other miscellaneous items had been stolen from the residence.
As the investigation progressed, deputies identified a suspect establishing probable cause to obtain a search warrant for a residence located in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, deputies and detectives from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department in coordination with officers from Lake Havasu City Police Department and Lake Havasu City SWAT team, served a search warrant at a residence in the 3000 block of Chruchill Drive in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
During the service of the warrant, investigators recovered several firearms and property linked to the burglary, as well as additional stolen items. As a result, Jeremiah Simmons was arrested and transported to the Lake Havasu City jail for booking.
Simmons is expected to be extradited to San Bernardino County following the completion of his current charges in Arizona.
