Moorpark, California. – On March 27th, 2026, deputies with the Moorpark Police Department Traffic Bureau conducted a Driver’s License/DUI checkpoint. The checkpoint was conducted on Tierra Rejada Road west of Mountain Meadow Drive in the city of Moorpark from 6:00 PM until 1:00 AM.
(S) Flores-Ayvar, Seimi-Andres was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs and possession of a smoking device.
Three drivers were cited for driving while unlicensed.
A total of 776 drivers were screened at the DUI checkpoint.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads. Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
