Search Warrant Leads to Arrest

      The Janesville Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit, Detective Bureau, and Patrol Division executed a search warrant today in the 3200 block of Midvale Drive following a lengthy investigation into allegations of child exploitation.
      In August 2025, Detective Stubbendick received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The Janesville Police Department is a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, an international network of law enforcement agencies dedicated to identifying, locating, and apprehending individuals involved in technology-facilitated child sexual exploitation and internet crimes against children.
      During the search warrant execution, K9 Handler Detective Winiarski deployed K9 Maui, an electronic storage detection canine, to assist in locating electronic devices within the residence. As a result of the search warrant, numerous electronics were collected.
      As a result of the investigation, Brandon Grimstead was arrested on four counts of possession/distribution of child pornography. He was transported to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office and is being held pending his initial court appearance.
